A fresh start

Welcome to the latest carnation of my website. Over the years it has been used for various purposes.

When I first bought the domain I was at college studying interactive digital media. It was for a module to create a personal website. It was also very useful as a showcase for my work from other modules.

After I left university, the site was used to promote myself as a free lance web designer until I got a full time job.

My job involved a lot of search engine optimisation work and eventually SEO became the sole responsibility of the job. During this time I used this site to experiment with various SEO techniques. It was pretty successful and before long it was on the first page of google alongside the biggest SEO companies in Nottingham.

After a while the site became used to promote myself as a free lance SEO.

I am now working as a copywriter for a new company and have found a new use for my site to keep it alive.

Although I am now a writer I want to keep up to date with changes in web design. This means keeping up to date with the latest software.

Therefore the site will be used as a blank canvas for me to practise joomla 2.5 which is the new version that I have not used yet.

As for the subject matter of the site, I suppose it will become a sort of scrap book of various multimedia pieces and writing I will produce throughout the year including a blog, photography, photoshop designs and examples of joomla 2.5 in action.

I can't say exactly what it will contain but hopefully it will develop its own character as it grows over the months.
