Hi my name is Michael Kehoe this is my website. When I first made it I was at university but I have not really used it since then. Until now.
I am a freelance web designer. I have become interested in search engine optimisation (SEO) because it is important for designers and the competitiveness of it appeals to me. Someone in Manchester caught my eye who is (or at least claims to be) a novice in SEO.
They got their website to the top rankings for the search term SEO Manchester. I'm going to aim to do that with my website for the search term "SEO Matlock" .

You must have noticed! These days every other person you meet regularly surf the internet in their mobile phone. Many of them don't need the internet at home because they have it on their phones.

SEO Matlock Experiment
I just want to give a brief introduction to the SEO Matlock experiment is all about then we will start.
I have taken an SEO college course and what I found was that people don't really know what makes the most successful SEO because the search engines don't tell us.
There is loads of advice available some good and some bad but I want to see for myself what gets the best results. There will always be myths concerning things we don't know about and SEO is no different. I want to eliminate these myths as they are going to be a big waste of time in the future.
So my SEO techniques will change every once in a while and I will then search for "SEO Matlock" in Google.
As you might have thought, "SEO Matlock" is a pretty competitive search term. The other websites I am competing against will have also been made by SEO experts.
So it will be interesting to discover which SEO techniques work the best and how well I can do for the search term "SEO Matlock".
The better the position I can achieve, the better it will look for me as an SEO consultant. If I can get onto page one it would show that I am up right there with the top SEO companies in Matlock.
